The Gates Scholarship

The STARS Scholarship, originally known as South Texas Academic Rising Scholars, was established in 2002 to support the education of the South and West Texas community. Since its inception, the scholarship has collaborated with hundreds of businesses, colleges, and organizations to distribute over $30 million to more than 14,500 students. Eligibility is based on financial need, academic merit, and scholarship achievement.
Students from South and West Texas with at least 12 college credit hours are eligible to apply for the STARS Scholarship, which can be used for community college, undergraduate programs, or graduate school.
Regents Scholarship
